Preparing for Worship June 8, 2025 www.crossroadswsks.com WHAT TO PRAY THIS WEEK Speaker: Patrick Belshe Pray for those who will lead in worship: Garold Syring-the Worship Ministry team Patrick Belshe Pray that the Holy Spirit will move in our corporate gatherings, leading us to exalt Jesus Christ. Pray that CCC will grow in Christ-exalting, Kingdom advancing ministry in 2025. Pray that God will move on us to be more evangelistic and, through our obedience in sharing the Gospel, will save many. Pray that we will become a house of prayer. Pray that we will pursue lost people as Jesus did (Luke 19:10) Patrick’s sermon this Sunday is entitled: The Power of the Word: Our Roadmap for Life’ from 2 Timothy 3:14-17. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. The Call to Quality “THE BEST IS OGGD ENOUGH!” Physical equipment and capital properties. Some local churches seem to have no end of buildings, equipment, educational materials, staff positions, and more. Some have almost nothing with which to work: a run-down building in a less than desirable part of the city with virtually no resources to improve anything. It is true that great, God-glorifying work and ministry can be going on in both places. God can work with much and be greatly glorified as His people provide much with the heart fixed on honoring the Lord and Him only. If the old, run-down facility is supported by God’s people there, and they are giving their best-it just isn’t enough to be impressed by outside observation-it can be a most sweet sacrifice of praise to God. God is neither impressed by opulence not depressed by poverty. He looks at the heart of His people and knows exactly what is going on. It is not the art of the building; it is the heart of the people which pleases God. But remember, heart worship presents the best-that which costs. Therefore, the art (surroundings and content) will likely improve. This Sunday's Music As we prepare for corporate worship, meditate on the lyrics from some of our songs of worship. Listen to them below. SONGS OF WORSHIP Pre-worship ‘Our God Reigns’ ‘Near to the Heart of God’ ‘What a Friend We have in Jesus’ ‘Holy Bible, Book Divine’ Listen to the songs below. O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God. There is a place of comfort sweet, Near to the heart of God, A place where all is joy and peace, Near to the heart of God O Jesus, blest Redeemer, Sent from the heart of God, Hold us who wait before Thee Near to the heart of God. There is a place of full release, Near to the heart of God, A place where we our Savior meet, Neat to the heart of God.
