Preparing for Worship February 15, 2026 www.crossroadswsks.com WHAT TO PRAY THIS WEEK Speaker: Partick Belshi Pray for those who will lead in worship: Garold Syring-the Worship Ministry team Partick Belshe Pray that the Holy Spirit will move in our corporate gatherings, leading us to exalt Jesus Christ. Pray that CCC will grow in Christ-exalting, Kingdom advancing ministry in 2026. Pray that God will move on us to be more evangelistic and, through our obedience in sharing the Gospel, will save many. Pray that we will become a house of prayer. Pray that we will pursue lost people as Jesus did (Luke 19:10) Patrick’s sermon for this Sunday is entitled: “Examining the Heart of Christ: Understanding his Mission” using Matthew 23;36-39 as the text. 36 Truly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. 37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing! 38 See, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’” Beauty in Worship Sometimes our utilitarian, pragmatic thinking, keeps us from a development of aesthetic appreciation. If it works, it is good; if it is just for visual beauty, it is not. Persons with discriminating ears sometimes find it difficult to appreciate aural quality. They feel if an instrument “works,” that is all it takes. If, when a key is pressed, sound comes out, it is good; little attention is given to the quality of sound. Jazz musicians sometimes kid with each other as they tune up by saying, “Well, that’s close enough for jazz!” (Great jazz artists, of course, are uncompromising on quality.) the same mindset concludes that if a building does not leak, and has some heat and light, it is fine. Little or no appreciation is given for its shape or finish texture. It is good and right to give attention to beauty; appreciation of beauty is a step of maturity-especially beauty God has given to draw attention to Himself! Pre-worship ‘Blessed Be Your Name’ ‘Christus Victor’ ‘All Glory, Laud, and Honor’ ‘He Will Hold Me Fast’ Listen to them below using the YouTube links. Blessed Be Your NameBlessed Be Your Name in the land that is plentiful, Where Your streams of abundance flow, blessed be Your name. Blessed be Your name when I’m found in the desert place, Tho’ I walk through the wilderness blessed be Your name. Every blessing You pour out I’ll turn back to praise. When the darkness closes in, Lord, still I will say, Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your glorious name! Blessed be Your name when the sun’s shining down on me, When the world’s all as it should be, blessed be Your name. Blessed be Your name on the road marked with suffering. Tho’ there’s pain in the offering blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your glorious name! Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your glorious name! You give and take away. You give and take away; My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed be Your name. You give and take away. You give and take away; My heart will choose to say, Lord, blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your glorious name! Blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be Your name. I could never keep my hold through life’s fearful path. For my love is often cold, He will hold me fast He will hold me fast; He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. Those He save are His delight, Christ will hold me fast. Precious in His holy sight, He will fold me fast. He’ll not let my soul be lost, His promises shall last. Bought by Him at such a cost, He will hold me fast. He will hold me fast; He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. For my life He bled and dies, Christ will hold me fast. Justice has been satisfied; He will hold me fast. Raised with Him to endless life, He will hold me fast. Till our faith is turned to sight, When He comes at last. He will hold me fast; He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. He will hold me fast; He will hold me fast. For my Savior loves me so, He will hold me fast. “He Will Hold Me Fast” Words by ADA K. HABERSHON and music by MATTHEW MERKER © 2013 Getty Music Publishing (BMI) and Matthew Merker Music (BMI) (adm.
